Installation of New Board and Report on Grants

At our June 13 General Meeting we celebrated the incredible philanthropic accomplishments of the active and dedicated leadership of the Westlake Women’s Club Board for 2021-2023, and the amazing results produced by hours of volunteering by our incredible Club Members.


Founder Helene Ross chaired the Installation of the newly elected 2023-2025 Club Board who were sworn to continue working with philanthropic goal settings to “Make a Difference” in our community.





Treasurer Jackie Harris reported on Clubs donations for the fiscal year reaching more than $90,000 that are being distributed to the following organizations amongst others:


Student Scholarships: Awarded a total of $ 25,000 to 13 selected students of the Graduating Class of 2023 from our local six High Schools of: Agoura High, Newbury Park, Oak Park, Thousand Oaks, Westlake and Conejo Continuation.

Camp HOPE from the Ventura County Family Justice Center: a based camping and mentoring program to improve the lives of children impacted by abuse, offering guidance and healing to break the generational cycle of family violence.

Harmony Project of the New West Symphony: providing funds to purchase musical instruments and after school musical training for 150 underserved children in Ventura County.

HOPE The Mission, supporting the Homeless: Donation to refurbish one room with four beds at the Woodlands Family Shelter, and the purchase of “80 Beds in a Bag” for 20 rooms to welcome more families in the path of homelessness.

Senior Concerns Thousand Oaks: Serving Seniors and their Family Caregivers with programs and activities for Seniors with cognitive and physical impairments to help them to remain as long as possible in their homes.

Safe Passage -Thousand Oaks: a partnership of the TO Police Department and Conejo Recreation and Park District to provide after school mentoring, camps, and health clinics to support at risk- youth.


TOArts and the Bank of America Performing Arts Center: to support teachers and students of Ventura County and the cities of Westlake, Agoura Hills, and Oak Park in Los Angeles County with theater and musical programs.

Westminster Free Clinic & Community Care Center: a non-profit healthcare provider, with medical professionals who volunteer for health supporting programs to over 100 patients of low income and uninsured families weekly.

Rescue Mission Alliance Ventura County emergency shelter serving the poor and the homeless 24/7 to help them break free from poverty, homelessness and addiction.


Westlake Women’s Club members are steadfast committed to help families in need of our community, and are proud contributors to donate funds to enhance their lives.
