In addition to our normal business update this month we had a number of interesting and fun activities.

Our guest speaker was Mr. Frédéric Elias who talked about Life Fitness Strategies. He talked about keeping your life positive and how to manage change.

Petra Montante gave an update on our Curtains Project for the Tiny Houses. Members are making curtains from their spare materials to create curtains for the windows in the tiny houses. This will provide privacy and will exclude light for the residents. (see previous posts for more details on Tiny Houses).

President Silvia Scally presents WWC Historian and Board Assistant Frieda Kabbash a hand embroidered GFWC-CFWC handkerchief in recognition for her year's support to the Club in many different capacities.

Each October we celebrate the Birthday of the Westlake Women's Club. This year was our 53 Birthday. Delightful cakes were placed on all the tables and were tasted by all guests and members.

On July 30, 2021 Westlake Women’s Club Board members travelled to Reseda, CA and presented a donation check for $6,000 to Mr. Ken Craft, CEO at Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission to Sponsor the construction of Two (2) Tiny Homes in the soon to be constructed Tiny Homes Village for the homeless in North Hollywood.

Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission also maintains a wish list on Amazon where you can assist by buying needed items. You can reach this list by clicking the button below:
