Rain did not deter our Westlake Women’s Club members, guests and the welcoming of our fantastic new members to attend a great meeting at Los Robles Greens Club. In the cozy ambiance of the ballroom our members left toys and cakes for holiday distribution, and signed numerous Christmas and New Year cards with messages of appreciation for our local Firefighters and Men and Women Veterans of USA wars.
We were honored to have a Women Veteran guest table with three Women Veterans who came to enjoy the camaraderie.
A table was prepared with some fun equipped silent auction baskets for purchase and guests happily purchased the lovely table centerpieces donated by our dedicated florist member.
The highlight of the day was the performance of the twenty three (23) students from the Thousand Oaks High School Choir who “showered” our hearts with music and holiday joy. A standing ovation was given by all women in the room to thank Choir Director Mrs. Janna Santangelo and pianist Mr. Kevin Su Fukagawa for the beautiful musical and choreographic repertoire presented.
